Right Before Sleep
This is important. Right before you doze off, your brain starts hitting different wavelengths1. You go from Beta (excited thought) to Alpha (normal consciousness) to Theta (drowsy) to Delta (deep sleep). As you are hitting the Theta state, the things you think and imagine have a massive impact on what your brain does all night. The ten minutes before you fall asleep are crucial to your happiness.Your Life Better
Think about every area of your life a little bit better. Imagine exactly what you want to happen. Smell it, feel it, sense it, taste it, play it out like a movie. I like to think about my life in several areas: my spirit, my mind, my body, my relationships, my passions, my finances. All of these I imagine better than they are now.Vividly Imagine
Whatever you imagine, just make sure to throw in some emotion. It doesn't matter whether you do this for 30 seconds or five minutes, as long as you feel it.Every Night
Make this a habit. Just do it every night before bed for at least 21 days. You might be down in the dumps now, but consistently throw your heart into this simple activity and your life will start to soar.

You are a wise man, Nat. I think this is good advice and a solid technique for increasing happiness and satisfaction. I do this in the morning as well, before I get out of bed. I can testify that it works. The reason it works is because happiness comes to us when we make the decision to be happy and train our mind to focus on happiness. Happiness is created in the mind rather than by one's possessions and circumstances. When one focuses energy on thoughts of being happy and content, it will have a powerful effect. All my best to you as you get you music out there and create happiness!
